No garden or short of space or do you love to have all your favourite herbs close at hand when you are being a Masterchef? Well, look no further as our Seedpods can make a home on your windowsill or even on a shelf. You decide. Seedpods make ideal grow kits for busy people with limited space. Measuring roughly 15 x 8 centimeters, the Seedpod container is a semi-transparent plastic unit in which you plant your chosen specimen. The plastic is recyclable, and it is suggested that you should reuse the container for other purposes once you have finished with it. The kit comes with everything you need in order to get started (apart from sunlight and water of course!), including;- A small bag of gravel (for drainage).
– A circular coir tablet (‘Coir’ is basically soil made from coconut husk – it looks just like regular soil, but it has a number of environmental advantages over standard peat).
– A packet of seeds (you get loads, but you don’t need to use them all).
The method behind the kit is simple. Just place the gravel into the bottom of the container, pop in the coir tablet, fill the pebble container cap with water and pour it over the coir tablet and watch the compost grow (you might need to fluff it up with a dining fork). Add the seeds on top and cover them with some of the compost and then in about two weeks admire your new crop of herbs.
Use fresh Thyme in marinades, casseroles, with roasted vegetables and in bread doughs.
