1. Credit Card Payments
We accept the following Credit Cards:

      • Visa
      • Mastercard
      • American Express
      • Diners Club

You will require the following information to complete your transaction:

      • Your 16-digit credit card number
      • The expiry date
      • The CVV number (that’s the last 3 digits on the back of your card/American Express customers a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears after and to the right of your card number.)
      • Your name exactly as it appears on the front of the card
      • Payment will be deducted immediately. That means we can start processing your order straight away.

Are you 3D Secure:

      • 3D Secure is an internationally recognised security standard for online credit card payments. It is also called Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode or Amex Safekey.
      • It is an authentication service that allows only the cardholder to use the card when shopping online.
      • Cardholders are allowed to enter their previously selected PIN/Password or a One Time PIN to help their bank to know it is you shopping online.
      • An additional focus on the safety of online transactions.
      • The bank may have already registered the you for the service, or you may be required to register during your next online purchase.

As a security measure to both the cardholder as well as Yuppie Gadgets, when an order total exceeds R1000 in some cases or on first order with us, you may be contacted and asked to verify some information before an order is dispatched. Credit Cards used for the first time on our website together with any large or unusual credit card transactions will need to be validated by the issuing bank or the cardholder before your order can be processed.

Can I use my budget facility on Yuppie Gadgets?

Yes, for any order over R 300. To use the budget facility, select the payment period when you enter your Credit Card details during checkout. We support 3, 6, 12, 18 or 24 months for budget payments.

Does Yuppie Gadgets store my Credit Card information?

We never store your Credit Card information. If you’d prefer to store your Credit Card details for faster checkout, then consider signing up for PayU. This option is also available at checkout on the secure payment page.

2. Instant EFT

Instant EFT enables you to make payments with traditional internet banking with SA’s four biggest banks. The electronic funds transfer (EFT) gets verified instantly. No long periods of waiting for the funds to clear, no proof of payment required and no disclosing of financial information.

4. ATM debit cards (via PayD)

PayD allows you to use your Debit Card. All you need to do is enter your debit card and mobile phone number and then authenticate the transaction on your phone. The system works with devices on the Vodacom or MTN network and with debit cards issued by Absa, Nedbank and Standard Bank.

5. MasterPass

MasterPass is a simple, convenient, trusted digital wallet from MasterCard for faster, safer shopping at online merchants. It is a digital wallet that makes online shopping safer and easy by storing payment information in one secure place.

6. PayU Wallet

PayU Wallet is a service that enables you to pay for products and services from your mobile phone, tablet or computer. You can store your credit card details for safe and secure payments to your favourite stores without exposing your personal or financial details. You can also load funds into the PayU Wallet Balance for easier and more secure payments.

7. EFT 

Make your payment directly into our Bank Account. Please use your Order Number as the Payment Reference and email your proof of payment within 2 (Two) hours to info@yuppiegadgets.com. Do not depend on your bank to email the proof of payment, as most emails do not reach us in time.
Your order will not be shipped until the payment has cleared and is reflecting in our bank account. Should we not receive your proof of payment within 2 (Two) hours, your order will be cancelled automatically.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept CASH deposits and should you make a cash deposit you will be liable for the fees before your order can be shipped.

8. SnapScan

It’s a mobile payment solution that makes it easy and safe to pay and receive payments in a store, online, at home, and on the go. No need for cards, cash, or time-consuming EFTs – just simple payments in a snap! Just download the app and link your credit or debit card. In less than 5 minutes, you’re good to go! Your card details are securely encrypted on your phone. We don’t have access to them, and neither will SnapScan. SnapScan lets you pay for the goods and services you need, wherever you are. No cash or cards needed! SnapScan is free to use, with no additional charges to you as the user. Network providers’ standard data charges will apply.

Open SnapScan and use your phone’s camera to scan the SnapCode displayed at the checkout or on your bill.
Enter the amount you want to pay and confirm payment with your 4-digit PIN.
That’s it. You’re done! Make sure that we have received proof of payment.
 
9. Yuppie Gadgets Voucher/Coupon

Gift Vouchers – You don’t need to link the Voucher/Coupon to your account. Simply enter you voucher/coupon code upon checkout.
Promotional Vouchers – Every now and then we issue promotional vouchers to our customers. Simply enter your voucher/coupon code upon checkout.
 
10. SCode

You can now shop online without a Credit Card. Thanks to SCode online you now have the freedom to do online shopping without entering a single credit card number or even having to pay via EFT. Pay using Cash (or via debit or credit card) at over 6000 retail payment outlets. Select PayFast upon checkout and thereafter click on SCode.

Who does the Payment Processing?

PayU
PayU is a secure, third-party service that allows you to store your credit card details in a virtual wallet so that you can move through the checkout process quick as a flash.

If you already have a PayU wallet, just click “PayU Credit Card Payment” during the checkout process. This will redirect you to the PayU site. Sign in and select a card to use.

If you don’t have a PayU wallet yet, but would like to use PayU to pay for your order, choose “PayU” on the payment page, and click on “Sign up”. You’ll be redirected to the PayU site, where you can sign up for an account and add your credit card details. When you’re done, click “Add card and use”. This will send you back to the Yuppie Gadgets payment page to complete the checkout process.

PayFast is a payments processing service for South Africans and South African websites. They enable easy, secure and instant transfer of money from you to us for your purchases.

They accept secure payments from online buyers in a variety of ways. We process credit cards from anywhere in the world, Instant EFT (bank transfers with SA’s four biggest banks that get instantly verified) and more.
