Step 1

Add 2 lbs (900 grams) of clean mussels to pot along with:
1/4 cup water, wine or beer
1 medium tomato, diced
1 small onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced

Place top on pot and steam on medium-high heat for 7-9 minutes or until shells open. MP401-0

Step 3

Remove top and enjoy. Use top to collect the empty shells as you eat.
